Total word count: 8624.
I participated in three word wars today. Each of them were for 15 minutes, and I wrote just over 800 words on each of them.
I'm ahead of schedule, but the next two days are going to be kind of crazy for me, and I don't know how much writing I'll get done.
I plan on getting up early to vote, and if it doesn't take too long I'll come back home and take a nap before I go dogsitting. We have a test tomorrow, and a major paper due the week after, so Lauren and I are going to work on that after she gets home from work, which means I'll be staying in Allen all day tomorrow.
I hope everyone votes that can. It's a very important election even though Texas is not a swing state. There are still other offices to be won besides the presidency. Interesting fact: My dad lives in Missouri, which is often a swing state. He said that if 15 more people per district would have voted Democratic, Missouri's electoral votes would have gone to Kerry. Missouri has 11 electoral votes. That would still not have won the election for Kerry, but it still goes to show that every vote counts. (I was not a Kerry supporter. I was one of the 411,304 that voted for Nader) Just imagine if 15 more people would have voted in every county!
There, I'm done. One of the rare times you'll hear me preach about politics because I realize I'm an outcast here in Texas. And that's all I'll say about that. See you on the flipside.

I agree everyone should go out and vote and you should vote for what you believe. Even if you disagree with the two primary candidates there are many others running for president and its worth looking into and supporting your cause. Congrats Ashley on voting.
